1) You can remove conditions faster than your monk can
2) Hammer Bash + Holy Strike
3) Resuable resurrection skills
4) Succor
-> Secondary monks can do more than heal.

Believe me, people don't like 'wammos...'
Dragon's Lair. My entire party got wiped out somewhere on the ele level, I managed to run away with about 10 health left. Their dead bodies were all inside the agro bubble of the enemy. Guess what? Me, being W/Mo, Rebirthed the entire party... Then we went on to kill Glint. Why would people not like that.

I won't even start on how I managed to complete Gates of Kryta for the first time by putting, of all things, Mending on Alesia...

wammo is fine for pve....

for pvp [card]plague touch[/card] or [card]shock[/card] seems to be pretty standard.... All warrior attributes in pvp

rebirth is nice...but in pve you dont need it.... rebirth signet is just as good... [card]sunspear rebirth signet[/card]

Disagree dude!

Come and tangle with my W/R Beastmaster with his level 20 "pussy cat" and his high level skills (eg. feral lunge etc) and you'll quickly find yourself in a world of hurt! Easy way to get a 7th team member IMO. Plus, pets are so cute as they develop!

Ranger as a secondary also enables my warr to snipe with bows from long-distance as well (eg. watchtowers and from cliff tops).

He can also be an effective trap layer as well (when needed). IMO, there are not enough Rangers running around atm. My next char will definitely be a Ranger.

There is more to a W/R than "pets and poison".

there is no right or wrong secondary.... every profession has at least one skill to offer that will benefit the warrior...

it all depends on what build/game type/role you want to play...

assasin= shodow steps and increased mobility
ritualist= flesh of my flesh rezzing
monk= hard res... mending touch...and other self sustaining skillsetc..
ranger= extra dps with pet..poison etc...
mesmer= excellent stances for pve
necro= plaugue touch...
ele= higher damage/armour in pve..and skills like shock pvp...
derv= tanking earth skills in pve and such
para= shouts with no energy req to help team...

the important thing is to NOT have more secondary skills than primary.... usually one or two is fine......thats when you know to start playing another profession....
